Field Road Surgery Update ( posted on Oct 18, 2019 )

Dear Patients

This letter confirms the current situation with the practice.

As you know, there have been increasing pressures on the partners at the surgery following their colleagues leaving the practice.  The partners have worked very hard to avoid a closure of the practice, which they have now successfully achieved.

We can now inform you that there will be new holders of the contract to deliver primary care services at the Field Road and Barnby Dun surgeries.  Drs Njoku and Uwhubetine are taking over the contract in the near future.  They also hold the contract at the successful Northfield Surgery in Thorne.

At this stage there is no merger of the practices, they will continue separately with their current separate patient lists, catchment areas, CQC registrations, etc.

The current partners will no longer be partners at the practice.

We anticipate someGP/clinician staffing changes and additions but would like to reassure you that the service at Field Road and Barnby Dun are continuing, as we previously stated they would.

Yours sincerely

Kristen Rawson

Practice Manager
